My Daughter who is 12 and going into the 7th grade attended the Boys and Girls Club summer camp this summer in Shelton( lower Naugatuck location) and she loved it! The staff are kind and professional. My daughter experienced a little girl trying to bother her that was in the 8th grade but the staff put the kibosh on that quick fast and a hurry and they quickly informed my husband and I as to what was happening and what next steps were. The only issue i have is that i have to pay in cash or check, i would have loved to been able to pay online with my debit card. I also wish you could pay for all trips up front when you register and pay for the first week. Other than that this place is awesome and my daughter will be going back next summer.

You are basically paying an arm and a leg for them to babysit your child. They do nothing with the kids they just let them run around all over the building and entertaining themselves. Even though they want over $150 a week per kid, field trips are on Wednesdays and you have to pay for them so really I am not sure what it is that the $150 a week is going towards other than standard basic babysitting. I believe they get ice cream once a week and that has to come out of your pocket as well. When I got a tour of the place we went downstairs to what looks like a basement but it was an entertainment room and no one was down there at the time so on our way back upstairs two boys ran downstairs to play by themselves. I find that very scary that no staff was down there to watch the two boys. Meaning anything could happen to your kid down there with another kid. I will be calling the state on this facility.

Both our kids love the Boys and Girls Club. The new Pre-K is fantastic, great price which includes lunch and snacks and our son loves his teachers. Our daughter is there after school and plenty of great activities and and indoor gym for those days it rains or its too cold to go outside. And again the after school program is so affordable. I went to the B&G Club as a kid and I trust them with my kids.
