Powered by GoogleWe have loved the sports programs at Boys and Girls Club! They have been well organized and focused on teaching the kids skills, not just winning a game. In addition, the after school care program is a life saver for a busy parent.
All three of my children attended, including their amazing summer program! The staff always went above and beyond and stayed having lots of knowledge on local resources when we hit hard times! Thanks to this program as a single mother I was able to hold a stable job for many years. My kids loved being there and not only did they get to play with friends from school but they also got to meet kids from the other elementary schools in town building friendships with some before going onto Custer baker. I will forever support this program and donate when I can all because of how we were treated and what the program itself does for the youth of Johnson county!
We love the Boys and Girls Club and have sent all of our kids there. Today, we have a Kindergartener, fourth grader and sixth grader. I'm so grateful our kids have a place to go that keeps them active, allows them to work on their homework, and encourages creativity and fun. When our first son started going there after school, I remember noticing how many more kids he knew when we would go places around town - like the library or local festivals. I appreciate that the kids are able to build friendships with others outside of their class and and school. We also love the staff and the extracurricular activities that are offered for youth.
When our granddaughter, Lexi, came to live with us when she was 10, we were still both working. We wanted to find a safe, convenient, affordable and fun place for her to spend her summer days. We found it at the Boys & Girls Club of Franklin. Lexi made new friends, learned new games and crafts, enjoyed pool time each day, and enjoyed the weekly field trips. My husband and I could continue working knowing that Lexi was being well cared for in a safe and fun environment. Natalie and her staff were great with the kids and were able to keep the program affordable for most families.
My kids always loved the Boys and Girls Club in Franklin. They were active in their sports, fun events like Halloween parties, and went to after school care for years. We are so thankful for the experiences and friendships they gained!
