Overnight YMCA camp on the Flat Rock River in St. Paul, founded in 1946 and run by the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis, with ACA accreditation. Week-long residential sessions include Traditional Camp for ages 7-16, Ranch Camp for ages 11-15, and Operation Flat Rock, a traditional camp week reserved for military families, ages 7-15; teens who have finished 9th, 10th and 11th grade can move into leadership, counselor-in-training and service tracks. Campers sleep in cabins or yurts with electricity and bathrooms and take part in kayaking, horseback riding, archery, zip line, swimming and other outdoor activities. Registration is by session through the camp's online portal.

★★★★★Dave WalkowzNow... I can't exactly comment on the actual experience here as a camper. I've only been here for service calls. With that said, this is one of my favorite places to stop at. From getting to drive by and see the kids having fun riding horses, the beautiful woods that surround the camp, and a super friendly and respectful staff. Most of the staff are former kids of the camp, giving back so that others can grow up having their own uniquely awesome experiences. Definitely worth giving some consideration if your kiddos need a fun summer activity... or if you really just want them out the house for a week or so.

The memories I have I will forever hold close in my heart as they’re the highlight of my childhood & teen years. My daughter is now old enough to go & just spent her first week here.
