Bowers Farm (Charles L. Bowers School Farm) is a working school farm at 1219 East Square Lake Road in Bloomfield Hills that runs weekly summer day camps from late June through mid-August, 9:00am to 3:30pm at $470 per week. Campers plant and harvest fresh food, care for farm animals and take farm-to-table cooking classes, and also build wilderness skills — constructing fires for cooking, building shelters, hiking and exploring the forest — plus ground and low ropes games on the Challenge Course. Campers age 8 and up can zipline. Camps fill early and waitlists are used once sessions are full.

Powered by GoogleMembership is worth it! We love open barn. My toddler loves coming to see the goats, sheep and horses!
Great place for a up close and hands on experience with animals! Every time we come we have an absolute blast. Everyone is so nice as well.
Bowers School Farm is fun! They have so much to offer kids, families and anyone who just wants a happy place to be. There's a beautiful garden area with a large wooden gazebo, an old log cabin and old home. Lots of animals live on the farm and they have a real farmer who lives on the farm to take care of them. There's a store where you can buy fresh eggs, beef, pork and turkey's for Thanksgiving. They have the Winter Park event starting in January-Febraury as well as different events throughout the year. Great place for a photo shoot when the garden's are in bloom. Make sure you go at different times of the year to enjoy everything the farm has to offer. Majority of the farm operates with volunteers, both children and adults. If want to learn about the animals or have a skill like cooking or gardening, the farm can always use the help. Consider volunteering!
Highly recommend a visit to Bower’s Farm. The fall festival never disappoints. Staff is friendly and there are plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. Great place to take the family.
Such a great place to take my toddler to! We enjoyed the grounds, beautiful gardens, many animals to pet and a wagon ride. Friendly staff and many hard working volunteers helping all over the place. Yummy MSU dairy ice cream.
