Bowers School Farm is a working farm in Bloomfield Hills, owned by Bloomfield Hills Schools, that runs weekly summer farm camps for ages 3 to 13. Full-day campers ages 5 to 13 attend from 9:00am to 3:30pm, caring for farm animals, gardening and cooking in daily garden-to-kitchen classes. Barnyard Buddies is a half-day camp for ages 3 to 5 with 8 campers per staff member, and Horse Camp and Little Wranglers Pony Camp center on riding lessons and horse care. The Bowers Farm Riding School also teaches youth and adults through a six-step equestrian program.

There's a beautiful garden area with a large wooden gazebo, an old log cabin and old home. Lots of animals live on the farm and they have a real farmer who lives on the farm to take care of them. There's a store where you can buy fresh eggs, beef, pork and turkey's for Thanksgiving. They have the Winter Park event starting in January-Febraury as well as different events throughout the year. Great place for a photo shoot when the garden's are in bloom. Make sure you go at different times of the year to enjoy everything the farm has to offer. Majority of the farm operates with volunteers, both children and adults. If want to learn about the animals or have a skill like cooking or gardening, the farm can always use the help. Consider volunteering!
