Originally loved this place and would make it part of our weekly routine to come and spend the mornings there but it only took three weeks for this place to show their true colors. While playing with a car track two children became super excited and were squealing and laughing and having a great time (which honestly you’d think you would want at a children’s play center) however one of the workers was behind the coffee counter and made a snarky comment to another co-worker how the kids really needed to keep their voices down. The first comment was left alone and another child started to join the fun too in which case all the kids involved were laughing and squealing in delight… they did run around the area and during that time one of the coworkers came and immediately dismantled the track the kids were actively playing with and put all the cars away while an employee told the mother the kids needed to keep their voices down and rolled her eyes . At this point one of the mothers decided to ask what the problem was to the owner but was met with attitude and told they aren’t supposed to be laughing and be loud and they can’t run. We understood the running issue, so we told the kids (who were by the body part bookshelves and we were by the coffee station) to stop running which they immediately did. The owner then said the “rules” are posted all over the website that states they can’t be loud or laugh, and no running. Posted are the rules… the owner said that running is considered “rough play” and had no response to the kids laughing. Nothing is posted on the website and the owner was extremely rude and obviously hates children… seems like she’s in the wrong business. We cancelled our membership and thankful we decided to go against booking my sons bday party because we know that would have been too much laughter for this establishment. There was also no insight about the possibility that maybe one of the children had sensory issues and squealing was their way to express happiness. Posted are the rules in the shoe area… I don’t see anything about loud children and taking four steps in a quick manner isn’t considered rough play. You’d think they would be more upset with children climbing onto the train station tables and consider that “rough play”

We took our 20 month old great-grandson there yesterday and was surprised to see so many different things for him to play with. There were other children there at the time in the 7-8 year old bracket as well. Stemville has a lot to offer for kids of all ages. The atmosphere is beautiful and so clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful

My 6yr old had a wonderful time exploring Stemville in Howell. The staff were helpful, warm, and welcoming. It was clean and very developmentally appropriate for my kiddo’s age. We will absolutely be back!

If you haven’t visited Stemville you are missing out. My grandchildren beg to come here. A calm, clean, colorful spot to play and learn with tons of different activities. You can build a Dino or crazy animals, play make believe or do one of the tons of puzzles. Blocks, marble runs, puppets, dress up or trains. Learn about space or the human body. That is only half of what is offered. My 6 yr old loves it as much as my 2.5 yr old. There is a coffee and snack bar to. Staff is helpful and the kids always make new friends. Love this spot!
