STARBASE One runs four-day summer STEM academies in Macomb County for students entering 5th or 6th grade who have not attended before, plus an advanced academy for returning students entering 6th or 7th grade. Academies run Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 2:00pm, with hands-on science, technology, engineering and math activities rooted in the physics of flight; all program materials are provided but campers bring their own lunch. STARBASE One is part of the Department of Defense STARBASE program, which began in Macomb County in 1991, and students enroll individually.

A full size front of the space shuttle with a simulator inside, an R2D2 android, 3d theater and so much more. They also have some serious air filtration in the classroom to help prevent the spread of airborne respiratory infections. My younger kids are jealous of their older brother.
