He is having fun, but also beginning to learn stroke fundamentals. He spent several quarters in other swim schools but was not making much progress beyond bobbing in the water and floating on his back - after 4 lessons he is diving for toys and practicing free/back the length of the pool (with assistance)!. We are really impressed with the coaches - these are highly skilled swim coaches who have a lot of experience with competitive swimming (both as competitors and coaches). They make it fun for the kids and are very effective!
