Beyond Soccer is a sports-based youth development nonprofit serving Lawrence that runs an annual Soccer & Wellness Camp, a two-week open-enrollment camp for 150-200 elementary and middle school youth held at Lawrence Stadium. Days combine soccer play, fitness and water games, and guest activities with the Lawrence Police and Fire departments, and the camp is staffed by 20-plus Coach Mentors who are mostly former players hired through the organization's Summer Youth Jobs initiative. The nonprofit also runs Summer Nights, a no-cost evening program of futsal, girls' soccer, cooking classes and game nights across three sites nearly every night in July and August, and it places youth in outside camps through scholarship partners.

★Bronson McKeownI don't know anything about the company, but there was a black truck wrapped in the company's logo and info (with a license plate starting X5) that was driving incredibly aggressively on interstate 84 near exit 32. I wouldn't personally advertise my business on a truck and then drive so dangerously, going in and out of traffic and flashing my lights at cars for just getting on the highway.

The coaches are true role models, and the kids are incredibly supportive. We were even fortunate enough to meet a professional soccer player! My son has developed remarkable skills, techniques, and confidence. He's grown stronger and more passionate, and he wouldn't miss a practice or game for anything. It's wonderful to see him love something more than video games! I can’t wait for the summer and fall program and see more progress of growth out of my son through this program! So worth it !
