Berkeley Tennis Club runs weekly summer tennis camps for juniors ages 6-14, meeting Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Campers choose a Tennis & Swim group, which plays tennis 9:00 AM to noon and swims 1:00 to 3:00 PM, or a Tennis Only group that trains on court both morning and afternoon; all campers break for lunch from noon to 1:00 PM. The Tennis & Swim group fills early. The club also runs a year-round Junior Development program.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Berkeley Tennis Club directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleBeautiful facility, but if you’re not a member dont even bother. I attempted to enroll my daughter in their junior development program, as she loves tennis is it is close to her school. I was told to submit the $600 program cost with the application, which i thought was interesting, but i went along with it. After that i was unable to reach the director and program head for over a week. I even left a voicemail on their direct line. When the deadline came to announce if she was selected i received no phone call. I called the following day and was told i would get a call the next day. When i didnt hear back the following day i called and was told it would be another 5 days. All while they still have my $600 and what looks like little to no hope of my daughter joining the program. This was extremely disheartening as i was excited to have her join the berkeley tennis community. Our journey wont stop here as i have been made aware of other programs in the area with better response times and lower costs.
A tennis club with a storied history, with Helen Wills as one its early members. In a great spot, near the Claremont. Have to be a member or occasional guest to play in one of the beautiful courts. Also has a pool
Really a great place to swim and just lounge around. The staff are genuinely friendly, not that fake hollow "hello." The place is conveniently located and there are a few restaurants nearby.
Great place to spend an afternoon swimming and playing tennis with your kids. Claremont guests have access (call ahead at 8:30am day before a weekend day to reserve an otherwise unavailable weekend court time).
I'm very disappointed that the captain of the USTA Women's BTC 7.5 combo team won't reschedule our tennis match given the terrible and unhealthy air conditions due to the fire. I have asthma and she has not considered a reasonable request to move our match to accommodate people like me with sensitive health issues to a later date when the air quality is much better. Even the City of Oakland says people should avoid strenuous activities and move indoors or reschedule. I'm surprised your club is even open during such conditions.
