Berkeley Carroll School – Athletic Center
Private
The Bongsoon Zubay Athletic Center is The Berkeley Carroll School's pool and gym at 762 President Street in Park Slope, open to the community during early mornings, evenings, and weekends from September through July. Its community program is swim instruction rather than a camp: leveled children's classes from Baby & Me (6-24 months) through Red Cross levels, competitive swim for ages 8-16, Sunday family swim for ages 6 months to 16 years, lap swim, private lessons, and pool parties. Berkeley Carroll separately runs BC Summer day camps — Classic Day Camp, Specialty & Sports Camp for students entering K-Grade 3, a Creative Arts Program, and Music Intensives — which include daily progressive swim lessons in this pool. The Athletic Center is closed for facility projects the entire month of August.

Before the pandemic my kids had swim lessons here and we recently went back for Dribbl basketball. The facilities are in decent shape and it looks like they renovated the pool area a bit. The folks at the front desk have always been pleasant and helpful.
Nice basketball courts, pool can get a bit crazy and packed on the weekends. While the swimming lessons themselves are top notch, the facilities leave a lot to be desired. The changing rooms are over packed and extremely hot and uncomfortable. Gets super wet and slick in the winter time.
We have really enjoyed swim lessons for our son here. Yes, the water is chilly, but he is so happy to be swimming the rarely complains. I would highly recommend swim lessons here! We’ve worked with a couple instructors and found them all to be friendly and knowledgeable.
Took our toddler for swim lessons. The pool is a bit cold for the kids, but the teachers and support staff are very nice. Biggest concern is that the change rooms are really small and get super crowded on the half hours - best bet is to arrive about 15-20 mins early for the class to score some bench space.
