Belmont Day Camp is a full-day summer camp at Belmont Day School for children ages 3 to 15, grouped by the grade they enter in the fall. Days combine a daily Red Cross swim lesson and an afternoon free swim with arts and crafts, sports, games, nature, garden, music, drama, archery and woodworking, and older campers choose two afternoon electives. One- and two-week sessions run from late June to late August, 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with morning and afternoon extended day available from 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Groups run about 15 to 26 campers with four to five staff, and campers entering grades 8 and 9 can apply to the Future Leaders counselor-in-training program.
