★Nicole WrenchIt’s very sad that after all of these years that the YMCA has always been about money, Not for the children or the community to better them as a whole. The open gym is an extremely alarming situation being that children who aren’t responsible enough to take care of themselves are being dropped off alone and there is no supervision required from parents or from YMCA staff. It’s becoming an increasingly more popular event, open gym, so why isn’t our membership money going for staff to supervise to make sure that everyone is behaving and no one gets hurt? There is just a building supervisor who sits around talking. Who is actually responsible for the kids in the gyms dropping racist language, swearing and acting up? Suppose there is a fight or the bigger kids get too rough?
