AMA Academy of Performing Arts runs summer camps at its Des Plaines dance and music studio. The August camps are full-day, Monday–Friday 9:00am–3:00pm across two separate one-week sessions, built around themed dance choreography, crafts and a Friday performance, with before care from 7:30am and after care to 4:30pm available for a fee. Shorter June and July mini camps for ages 3–12 run 2:00–3:30pm on a tumbling or ballet theme. Full-day camps are for ages 5–12 and campers also assemble lunches each week for AMA’s Loving Lunches charity.
