The Alliance Theatre, the Tony Award-winning resident theatre of the Woodruff Arts Center at 1280 Peachtree Street NE, runs drama day camps for rising grades K-12 in Midtown and at additional sites around metro Atlanta. Campers explore a weekly theme, work on the actor's three tools of body, voice and imagination, share stories about favorite characters, and build a performance piece presented to family and friends on Friday. The theatre states it values process over product. The 2026 season runs May 26 through August 7; registration opened January 7, 2026, with an early-access week.

★★★★★Candace RandallThis was a wonderful experience for attending an accidental children's show. Rhythm and Thread was everything the show represented. It was filled with family love and fun and very wholesome. The very young children were free to be expressive, free and very much involved in the play. The actors invited them to join in and in some instances they joined in by themselves. It was totaled designed to make the young ones feel welcomed and express themselves!! I enjoyed it without having a very young child with me. I would also like to complement the staff. Von (spelling may be wrong) and Mya, they were the ticket agents with exemplary customer service. Their kindness, patience and knowledge about the theatre was so warm and refreshing. Sidnie was our greeter and she shared the same enthusiasm as they did and her welcoming smile and charm made you feel at home. The ticket prices are very reasonable and make sure you get there early to enjoy the room filled with books and fun activities as you wait for the show to begin!! It's an all around Great experience for the very young and those that accompany them!! I can't wait to visit again with a young person and I'm spreading thw word to families and friends with young ones!! I will also be going back to attend a play for grown folks That's the beauty of this theatre, there's something for everyone to enjoy!!

★★★★★Pete DrummondWe attended a performance of Fiddler On the Roof at the Alliance Theatre and it was incredible. The security process was simple and quick and getting tickets at will call was easy. At intermission, we got popcorn and two drinks and the prices were very reasonable. $11 for a popcorn and two soft drinks. Parking in the Woodruff Center’s garage onsite was sold out but we found parking at the Promenade Tower garage for $20. We will definitely be going back and loved our time at the Alliance Theatre.

It's the perfect theater for theatrical events with automated props, descending floors, wired to fly cast members in the air, and an amazing sound system! There is no bad seat in the house, so don't be skeptical about balcony seating. I'm looking forward to seeing other plays at this wonderful theater!
