Powered by GoogleMiss the 100 lb bag, otherwise basically the same. New equipment very nice.
The YMCA Northside has the most amazing yoga teacher! Michelle is an exceptionally gifted yoga instructor who creates a warm, safe, and supportive environment where students can transform both their bodies and their relationship with themselves. Her classes are slow, calm, and peaceful, yet remarkably powerful in their impact. What stands out most is her highly inclusive teaching style, which welcomes and supports students of all levels and abilities. No one is left behind—Michelle skillfully guides each participant with clear, compassionate cues that make the practice accessible and meaningful for everyone. I highly recommend her classes to anyone seeking a mindful, transformative yoga experience. She is truly one of the best instructors I’ve had the pleasure of practicing with.
Whoever that blond haired, thinner woman is at the front desk, mid 40’s, SUPER SUPER RUDE! you guys need to fire your staff and hire people that represent good customer service. I will never visit this YMCA again. I can’t believe the ignorance that these females show the members of this YMCA. Shaking their head and staring at members blatantly irritated with signing them in. Outrageous behavior. The lockers are all rusted out and have holes in them. Close the place down and replace things to make it a welcoming experience. I have no idea what kind of establishment would allow customers to use this establishment in the condition that the facility is in. If Someone gets cut on these lockers a lawsuit will be immediately filed. I can’t believe the level of disrespect and lack of customer service. These staff members have. Very dissatisfied. Never returning.
This review is only for the swim program - I think the Level 1 swim acclimation class for 3-5 year olds is FANTASTIC. Class size is small (somewhere between 2-5 kids), the teachers are so patient with the kids (including my chatty Cathy) and they have done so much more for water safety and instruction in just 2 sessions than we got at another program elsewhere. Small, very clean pool in the basement with access to family changing rooms that aren't fancy or new, but meet your basic needs.
Allegheny YMCA, great place to get your sweat on. Full service, with a full size basketball court, pool, studio rooms, weight room and cardio room. Oh yes, yoga! They have trainers, and the best staff. Cost is more than reasonable. Now, go get your sweat on!
