The only reason I go to this YMCA is because it is one of the only facilities in the area with a lap pool. However, the lap pool has been closed at least 11 times since January due to chemical issues, and the therapy pool has been closed even more. There have been multiple instances (including today) where I have checked the app, checked the website, etc just to drive all the way there and walk in to see a sign saying the pool is closed. Many times, notifications about closures have not been sent out at all, or hours later. As of March, administration was "working on a solution" to replace/fix the HVAC system, but members still have not been given any timeline for when this will happen and the issue has been going on for at least 5 months. At this point, it's becoming a waste of both my time and money and I will start looking elsewhere.

Want to be a better reviewer. Reviewers need reviewers, too. So here’s my objective and subjective review of our ymca experience. 1. Great: swimming pool and therapy pool. Therapy pool jets come off means it’s open to anybody, including children, but 20 max capacity so it’s like a race to the pool during family swim hour. The little ones enjoy the warm water during the cold months. Many look forward to playing in the outdoor pools come summertime. The gym equipment is super clean, almost every station has a bottle of sanitizer with a towel. 2. Good: The classes help a lot if you’re looking for some consistency. Make sure you reserve a spot though. For members who enjoy playing basketball the gym is solid. Most of the time the surface is not slippery. That’s a big plus. Not that many pick up games sadly, so the gym is reserved in the evening for the youth. 3. Curious and trying to understand: Some mixed messages about kindness. Staff provides coffee in the morning and prepares special meals. That is caring and kind. On the other end, when you ask if they could check the lost-and-found, they say no and suggest you to come back and check for yourself.

YMCA is not for the kids with DISABILITY They’re discriminating against my 2 children with autism and refusing to accommodate them with the proper staffing. Instead of trying to make the situation better they made it worse forcing them to give them only 3 days of aftercare while still collecting full time pay !
