Greatly depends on who you have for a coach. Ours was very young and unprofessional. Didn’t know how to manage a team as far as details and communicating with parents. Huge lack of communication from the coach. We found out game times very last minute. Practices always ran late by 20-30 minutes. One of their weekly practices was in a nasty run down church gym with terrible AC, and a couple practices where the AC was out completely in the middle of summer. Paying $1,000+ you would think they could practice in a nice gym. If you do any out of town tournaments, it will cost extra money on top of the $1,000+ you already paid. It wasn’t communicated to us ahead of time. If you live in the immediate Kansas City area, expect to drive 30-40 minutes for each tournament. They’re mostly on the Kansas Side. Expect to pay $10-$15 to watch each of your child’s games. And for the out of town tournament it was $30 a game unless you did the weekend pass for $50+ fees. Overall disappointing experience.

This league needs better refs. Teaching the kids bad calls isn’t going to motivate nor properly help the children learn basketball. Also refs that get out of character and argue with parents is very unprofessional. If we are here for the kids let’s teach them the right way to play.

Need ref's that call fair games. Want fair play choose a different organization. Refs side with the ABA Surpeme and Sixers because of the association sad day for kids out here working hard. The associated teams can elbow, trip, push, and smack your child in the face. During a dead ball a child to walk up put her elbows in mine childs throat refs watching the whole time turns away smiling. All because of association sad sad day when someone child is seriously injured because winning is all that matters and keeping 1st place in house is the motto. What a bucnh of great administrators you are to continue to allow and tolerate this type of behavior for the ref's you employ!

If I could give less stars I would. Refs are out of controll threatening parents in the stands. What a way to show sportsmanship. Unfair calls was just the start of it. Smithville high school this last weekend was uncalled for. Ref #102 needs to be taken off your payroll. When I said something to them about it, they dont want to fix it. If you want your kid to play, dont let them play here.
