★★★★★Cori QuinnI had a 1:1 session with Actor’s Habit. My coach’s name was Martinez and he was fantastic!! He watched me perform lines from a written monologue and critiqued me along the way, which is expected from an acting coach and truthfully all I had really expected during the time I booked the session. However, what blew my mind was the technical insights and quick tips he shared with me, many that were so blatantly apparent once he brought them to my attention (like duhhh!) lol. For example, when we rehearsed the wide shot vs the close up shot, Martinez made me more conscious about the subtle differences I should have in my reactions, voice/tone and movements to enhance my overall performance. It was so much fun! I really enjoyed listening, learning, and watching him quickly jump in and out of character as he assimilated his demonstration of a certain acting techniques! Oh, and lastly, Martinez also recommended movies and books to add to my study tools! I’ll drop one here, {Secrets to Screen Acting by Patrick Tucker}.
