Private

A Class Act NY runs about ten week-long summer camps in musical theater, on-camera acting, dramatic arts, and voice-over, taught by Broadway performers, TV directors, casting directors, agents, and managers from New York and Los Angeles. Camps include show-themed sessions such as a Frozen KIDS camp, where campers learn song-and-dance numbers, build props and set pieces, and perform a final showcase for family and friends, alongside five-day on-camera and dramatic arts programs. Classes are held at Pearl Studios at 500 8th Ave. Most camps are open to all skill levels; three require an audition. The school serves students from age 5 into their twenties and has operated since 2005.

My daughter attended the Casey Likes Master Class and she really enjoyed her experience. Having a successful working actor provide helpful critique on her performance was invaluable. She will absolutely be signing up for more classes like this in the future. Thank you, ACANY!

My daughter has been taking classes and voice lessons at ACANY for three years. The classes that she has taken always had the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable teachers. Specifically my daughter has grown so much as a vocalist as a result of her voice lessons with Rebecca. The lessons are professional and empowering as well as nurturing. We are all very grateful that she is a part of ACANY.

We love ACANY and all of the staff - our child has had some wonderful experiences performing in shows, taking in person classes with such knowledge and excellent teachers and she is really loving her private lessons as well - she gets so much out of them! ACANY is a very positive environment that promotes growth, learning, fun and a real family environment.

We love it here! Jessica and her staff are awesome. Recently thankful to be apart of their winter Descendants show. The show itself was one of the best we've seen. Hard to believe it only took the kids 10 rehearsals!! Now that we've found them we cannot wait to try all the master classes, cabarets, etc. They have so much to offer and a great outlet for performers to showcase their talents!

My son is just finishing up his second 6-week class with A Class Act NY, and has grown tremendously over the past few months. Having no prior acting experience but knowing he loved to perform, I was happy to see the Disney & Nick TV classes offered—especially since stage acting isn't his thing. My son really enjoys the playful nature of the classes (he is 7), but has also embraced the trust put in him to memorize his lines, be serious on set, and to even learn about and operate the camera at times. Being brand new to the company, it was a bit overwhelming at first, but I really felt like the staff took the time to get to know my son and put quality effort into giving feedback about his progress. We even participated in the recent Agent & Manager Showcase and felt very well prepared for it thanks to the efforts from the team. Jessica leads the company wonderfully and the communication is great. We feel connected to the staff and like they're invested in our growth and success, regardless of the experience (or lack thereof) we have. Highly recommend!
