Camp Zena is the summer day camp at Zena Recreation Park, a member-owned swim and tennis club in the woods outside Woodstock. Campers ages 5-14 run 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from late June through late August, with mornings of arts and crafts and field games, a nature walk, and afternoons of swimming, playground and group games; morning and afternoon snacks are provided and campers bring a bagged lunch. Group swim and tennis lessons and private swim lessons can be added on for an extra weekly fee. Non-members may register at $418 per week, against $292 for club members.

The families and staff are what make this place unique and if it wasn’t for the commitment and hard work of not only staff but volunteers, this place wouldn’t exist. We have a wonderful baby pool where parents can safely play in the water with their children. The main pool with its diving boards and plenty of room for Marco Polo, family swim time, and dedicated adult swim time for adults wanting to do laps make it a perfect balance. A throwback to a time when random acts of kindness are the norm, all children are our children, adults get to be children again, plenty of BBQs and family fun, especially around pool volleyball at 3pm on weekends when adults play and children cheer :). Thank you, Brian, and the rest of the Zena staff for keeping us sane and keeping Zena alive.
