Bard College Athletics runs open-enrollment summer sports camps on its Annandale-on-Hudson campus, using the Stevenson Athletic Center along with adjacent fields, the pool, and the tennis courts. The 2026 lineup is single-sport by week and entirely half-day: baseball (July 20-24, 9am-noon, $255), basketball (weeks of July 27 and August 3, 9am-noon, $215/week), and tennis or pickleball (weeks of July 13 and July 27, noon-2:30pm, $275/week), all open to boys and girls ages 6-14, plus a girls' volleyball all-skills camp July 20-22, noon-3pm, for players entering grades 5-8. The Stevenson Athletic Center itself is a 69,000-square-foot facility housing a six-lane 25-yard pool, squash courts, a fitness center, and a gymnasium. Several 2026 sessions, including the soccer camp, are listed as canceled.

Being married to a staff member at bard has the fantastic benefit of giving me access to the Stevenson athletic center. I am so grateful to be welcomed into this space. They have all the standard gym equipment, including machines with weight racks, free, weights, etc., that you would expect to find at a gym like planet fitness. Unlike a bigger gym, the atmosphere definitely feels more cozy. I asked a couple of questions at the front desk and they were very courteous and helpful. The basketball court is also lovely and the front desk staff helped point me to a page online where I can see when the teams will be practicing so I can plan my visit accordingly.

Great equipment but would very much prefer if you opened up earlier (especially during summer) like at least an hour earlier because of L& T

The worst gym by far if you want to workout in the evening. The small weight room where there are free weights are constantly being used by the women’s sports teams so you’re not even allowed to use them. I went to workout and waited around for an hour and a half before I was even allowed to pick up a weight. Tf kind of gym is this

Not a bad gym. There isn't quite enough equipment for the amount of people that use it come the beginning of fall semester. However, during the summer it is a nice place to workout. I really wish they could do something about the meatballs that like to shout, scream, and slam their weights down. Like maybe some warnings about revoking their gym access privileges if they keep acting out?

The Stevenson Athletic Center is a great resource for students. Tons of classes, a great pool, and extensive gym facilities. Biking machines with screens, a wide selection of machines, and friendly staff. Usually not too full, so no need to arrive early to beat the rush.
