The Lee Youth Association is a nonprofit that runs the LYA Summer Rec Camp for children entering grades 1 through 8, held at Lee Elementary School in June and July and at St. Mary's School during August. It also runs LYA Hoop Camp, a basketball camp that typically starts at the end of June and runs three weeks - one week for grades K-2 and two weeks for grades 3-9. Established in 1980 and now operating more than 20 programs for about 850 young people, the association is a United Way funded partner and serves families from Lee, Becket, Lenox, Otis, Pittsfield, Sandisfield, Stockbridge and Tyringham.
