Springfield Ballers is a nonprofit youth sports organization serving low-income families in Greater Springfield. It grew out of the Lady Ballers girls' basketball team founded in 2007 and now fields boys' and girls' teams in basketball, lacrosse, golf and softball, with volunteer coaches and an emphasis on academics, respect, community and leadership. Its published programming is season-based team play and tryouts rather than a summer camp; participation fees are kept low or waived to keep the programs affordable.

Powered by GoogleExcellent organization! Lots of sports for children who don't know what they want to play to try out. I didn’t think my daughter would like track and field but she loved it!
My boys have been part of the Springfield ballers ever since they were in biddy ball at 4. Not only is basketball a daily part of their life’s but being with the ballers has turned into their 2nd family. From their team mates, coaches and all the way to directors they have always felt welcomed, appreciated and made felt like they are part of the team. I can’t picture my boys or myself being anywhere else!
The First Annual Springfield Baller’s 5K Walk at Van Horn Park was such an amazing community event! The energy was uplifting, and it was powerful to see people come together for health, wellness, and unity. The organizers did a great job — the route was well-marked, the park was beautiful, and everything ran smoothly. Events like this are so important for Springfield, especially in bringing people together for a positive cause. I’m already looking forward to next year’s walk — it’s only going to grow bigger and better!”
Springfield Ballers is truly an amazing organization! They provide opportunities for boys and girls from as young as 4 years old all the way up through high school seniors. The coaches and staff are dedicated not only to developing basketball skills, but also to building confidence, teamwork, and character. For my daughter, this program has been life-changing. The Ballers have given her the platform to showcase her talent, gain exposure, and work toward her ultimate goal of earning a scholarship and using basketball as a pathway to a free education. The travel opportunities are incredible too — players get to visit places across the country, compete at a high level, and network with people who can help open doors for their future. If you’re looking for an organization that goes above and beyond to support youth, both on and off the court, Springfield Ballers is second to none. We are so grateful to be part of the Ballers family!
My daughter has participated in multiple seasons of Biddy Ball with the Ballers and my godchildren have participated in their free golf program. The Springfield Ballers run a very organized, attentive, and inclusive program at very reasonable prices. Many of the coaching staff are full-time educators or work with children in some capacity and it shows. Definitely recommend.
