Well lucky us, did we find a gem! He loved his time so much, it really got him out of his shell and he matured so much in such a short time! He's so pumped to go back for 2 weeks this year. A full outdoor camp experience with staff all very well trained and in college, often many of them studying to be teachers. There is an add layer of the value of kindness on top of everything that makes the experience more enriching for the campers and a maintained draw for the staff members. I attended this camp from the age of 8 and then began working there from 18-22. I now bring my child for family weekends. Highly recommend

This camp had great food and the staff was great! 10/10 recommend! There was a lot of diversity of people and Camp Takodah was very welcoming, it’s like my second home, one of my best friends was from Argentina. The remarkable thing about Camp Takodah is you might not talk to someone for a year and still be best friends when you see each other at camp. All the people I met here are kind and empathetic. They have flags from all around the world hanging in the dining hall. Camp is just fun, you learn a lot like responsibility by so many things. Like cabin inspection. And it’s also so much fun! My mom came here and I’m so happy she sent me here. Even if I get homesick, my leaders, cabin, and friends make me feel better. They also are inclusive to all religions, cultures, sexualities, and so much more.
