★★A GrimmlyAfter reading I see that the other town about 10 miles away has a much better ymca maybe because it's not in a garbage city. you can go there instead and enjoy the use of the facilities. So we need to go to the rich area in order to not have issues wow makes me wonder why I served in the military if we can not even get our local facilities like the YMCA in Waterbury to make it an enjoyable trip and not an headache or a fight to be able to get inside if in a wheelchair

★A GThis is not the 1st time I’ve sent my children but it will definitely be the last. Issue #1: I made it very clear that I didn’t want my 7 year old swimming, they said they put a note on his file and I even called to confirm the 1st day of camp. Ultimately, they completely disregarded my safety concern and let him swim. Issue #2 Lots of bullies this year and one of the counselors excuses for my son being punched in the stomach was “your son was in the wrong group if he was in the right spot it wouldn’t have happened”. Issue #3 on the last day of camp my son was in after care in Waterbury and because it was the last day of camp I was expected to grab his asthma medication from the counselors. THEY FORGOT HIS ASTHMA MEDS IN MIDDLEBURY and till this day I have not received them. My concern is the fact that he was in Waterbury for over an hour WITH NO RESCUE medication in the event he had an attack. Issue #4 I removed my eldest sons registration before camp even started due to illness, I was expecting a refund that never came until I reached out to the finance department at YMCA because he was never marked as removed from camp from the camps director. Issue #5 I never received a call from his counselor as expected in the first week. I sent an email to Adam to let him know and never received a response from the counselor or Adam. So many unacceptable issues this year. Not one simple mistakes but a bunch of big ones. never again.
