Xpressions Dance Center is a Fishersville dance studio with three studio rooms and professional sprung floors, teaching ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip hop from age 2 through teens and adults. Its regular season runs September through May; during June, July and August the studio suspends regular classes and instead runs special summer camps geared toward different dance styles and age groups, with guest instructors. The studio also offers In Motion, a class for youth and adults with Parkinson's, MS, cerebral palsy, arthritis, muscular dystrophy and physical or intellectual disabilities. Camp dates, ages and daily hours are not posted; registration is through the parent portal.

★Robert HepinstallThis is the worst studio for kids and their growth as dances and participant. Their staff is sub par at best and can not teach kids the basics of uniformity, the routine, and then criticize kids that mess up the moves. This is not a college level program and kids should not be brought up in front of the class to be ridiculed by the instructor and to perform their mistakes to other students. How is this good for morale and well being of kids. Then there is the owner Amanda, no clue how to run a business and set expectations for staff. When someone is running this type of business it’s important to have standards of your own and thus you’re able to implement them on staff. I would be so ashamed as an owner to laugh and belittle parents to other parents when questioning their integrity and why she is unable to communicate intents with parents. This should not be a guessing game. Parents beware of this studio. If you like spending your money with no results this is the place to be. Remember the standards set also will reflect in your children’s ability to perform and want to actively participate. Response to the owner. This is a true testament to the ability of the owner of deflecting and not owning the issue at hand nor addressing them. This would be a great response if it were true that I was not a client (payee). The concerns have been addressed with you and again the lack of ownership is apparent.

The instructors are extremely professional in and out of the classroom, and everything from billing to studio clean-up is handled with grace, kindness, and professionalism. Unlike the unfortunate cliché that studios are filled with gossip and cattiness, Xpressions is filled with refreshing encouragement and a no-tolerance policy for bullying. I have been so happy here; I feel cared for and I have grown as a dancer. The excellent instruction and friendly environment, as well as the integrity of the owners make Xpressions my first choice and my only recommendation!
