Charlottesville Ballet Academy runs summer dance camps at its 29North studio (1885 Seminole Trail) in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and parent-and-me classes. Camps are open to ages 3 and up in 3-day and 5-day formats with daytime and evening options, grouped into First Steps (ages 1.5-6), Children's (5-8) and Student (8-12) divisions. There are no uniform requirements, and camps longer than 60 minutes include a snack or lunch break. Charlottesville Ballet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering Keith Lee Dance Fund scholarships to families that qualify; registering for one camp earns 10% off each additional camp for the same student.

Powered by GoogleWoke place, if you have any conservative values, do not expose your kids to this place. Back in COVID days when they had chance to use Zoom to engage kids with dance, CB decided to host presentations on systemic oppression and similar toxic racist subjects. Stay away! --- We get plenty of blame and victimhood in public schools, CRT does not belong in a dance studios, it divides kids!

Im not a frequent show goer but to see such an acclaimed peace be executed so beautifully has absolutely left a lasting impression.thankyou for the show!
This ballet school... gah, it’s just wonderful. The teachers are wonderful, my 3 year old LOVES going to class and it just warms my heart! I’m so glad we found this gem of a school, we are so thankful!
My children have learned a ton, not just about dancing, but about being a member of a community, here. The instructors truly care about each dancer's well being and making the experience of dance fulfilling. And, of course, the instruction is excellent.
CBA is a warm, welcoming and supportive dance school. Almost everyone in our family dances now - even this 40-something mommy who had never danced a day in her life. The performance opportunities w/ a professional company are a major plus too... We feel very grateful to have discovered this dance school!
