This is one of the top after school programs, not only locally, but in all of CA. The kids have a blast here. The owner and staff are caring and supportive and they truly go out of their way to make sure all of the kids have an incredible time.

As a parent, my biggest priority is making sure my child receives consistent academic support, especially in the areas where he struggles most. While the staff was kind and the karate portion of the program was something my son truly enjoyed, my overall experience left me concerned about academic accountability. I communicated multiple times — both by phone and in person — requesting daily assistance with fluency, spelling, and completion of his homework. Unfortunately, despite those conversations, I later discovered that assignments I was told were completed were actually unfinished and incorrect. This caused my child to feel discouraged and lose confidence academically. I understand programs can be busy and balancing activities is not easy, but academic follow-through and accurate communication with parents are extremely important. Based on my experience, the program did not align with the level of academic support my child needs, so I made the decision to withdraw him. I truly appreciate the kindness of the staff, but I encourage future improvements in communication, accountability, and individualized academic support for students who may need extra help.

I don't usually write reviews, but wanted to post about this great dojo! Sensei Greg and Coach Kailey are wonderful, and my child loves coming and working with them. They really care about all of the kids and families in their dojo. We have been members for almost a year, and plan to come for many more years. Very caring staff. Let me start by saying this place is AWESOME! From the after school to the martial arts program my son has learned to always try his best and achieve it all. He has learned discipline, respect, responsibility, martial arts, and much more. My son has been in the after school program for three consecutive years, picking him up from school, doing homework together, to training on the mat. I have gained full trust on all the teachers here. They always make him feel at home. I can’t thank the staff enough for the opportunities they have provided for my son. As we move on to middle school, we will definitely continue on in the martial arts training program as my son has accomplished so much thanks to Sensei Gregory, Miss Alexyis, Miss Maria, and Coach Kailyee.
