Whimsy Wees is a Portland/Beaverton art studio offering 11 weeks of summer art camps for children entering grades 1–8. Full-day camps run Monday–Thursday 9am–3pm, with morning small-group themed projects and afternoon independent open-studio work. Extended care is available from 8am to 6pm; all instructors are CPR- and EpiPen-trained and screened.

The instructors were patient, engaging, and fantastic with the kids, making everyone feel included regardless of skill level. The project was age-appropriate and fun, and all the kids were so proud to take home their artwork at the end. The studio space was clean, bright, and perfectly set up for a birthday celebration. She had a Squishmallow theme, and they each painted a picture of a gifted Squishmallow (from the birthday girl). Whimsy Wees is great to work with is setting up the party theme, a banner with the birthday kid's name for everyone to color, and guiding everyone through the painting process. Staff member Gwen did a wonderful job.

It’s educational, engaging, and actually creates child art you want to keep and show off. Kids love it! Ask Lisa about getting it at your school! She was a BSD art teacher for years and it shows in everything she does- in a fabulous way! 2- parties- I started out planning a small surprise party for my daughter- which quickly escalated into 34 kids and parents 😂 you would think j it wouldn’t work out but it was the best party we’ve every had! Our group has kids from 2-10 and they ALL got immersed in the project and created super fun collages they were proud to show off! Parents got to hang out and talk. It was an absolute blast and such a darling space to celebrate. 3- paint nights- I love the adult paint nights! I always learn and enjoy myself. It’s so relaxing and satisfying to learn techniques while also making it my own! I always leave happy! Her mama and me nights are fantastic bonding also! My daughter and I have had a fantastic time at them and have our art in her room.:) 4- child art classes- so solid! So worthwhile! So fun! The best place for this, and in such a great shopping spot so plenty to occupy myself for an hour.:)
