Westhaven Recreation Center

I grew up in Hardy Drive I stayed going down to the Recreation Center of Westhaven, where Mr. Curry would give his time love and care to all kids who came to the Rec. in Hardy Drive. He would throw discos, play music up in the Park and turn the sprinklers on during the hot summer days. West Haven Recreational Center is where I picked up the habit of loving board games and 4H as well. I looked forward to going to the Rec center after school programs and also summer camp days were the best days a kid could ask for, and attend. I loved jack rocks, kickball, shuffleboard, trouble, checkers, uno, sorry, stick pool and connect four. Those were the good times in the good ole days. Thanks Mr. Curry for your great Spirit, love and friendship. Thanks Mrs. Joyce Bell for your love, concerned, Spirit, time, patience and care.
