City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department
Municipal day camp program run by the City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department across several school and community sites. Five age-banded camps run in three-week sessions: Little School for 4-year-olds through rising kindergarten (9:00am-1:00pm or 9:00am-3:00pm), Providence and Daniels Run for rising grades 1-4, Middle Grades for rising 5-7 and Teen Adventure for rising 8-10, the last three running 8:30am-4:00pm with sports, games, arts and crafts, theme days, special events and field trips. Stated staff ratios are 1:6 at Little School and 1:8 at Providence and Daniels Run. Aftercare runs 4:00pm-6:00pm for a weekly fee at several sites, and payment is spread across three monthly charges. Sliding-scale financial assistance is available to qualifying Fairfax City residents, with $50 sibling and full-payment discounts.

I had never been to this park before and I really liked it. She rented out the pavilion/shed there which served as party headquarters. Everything in this park was clean and I was impressed with the location of the park and the facilities. I even went for a little walk along a hiking trail, totally unexpected. Good parking close to the pavilion, clean enough restrooms.
