Powered by GoogleHardest thing to get ahold of someone with any authority. Been calling for atleast a month regarding a 30$ fee. My card expired and didn’t charge me …I was 3 days late. One time..because my card expired. I asked Ken Shannon if they could wave fee they said they would but my home gym is west. Well for the life of me they won’t call me back. And my account is on hold and stopped pulling monthly payments even with updated card. They’ve sent at-least 3 emails for me reaching out to director. Nothing back. And every time I call the director is busy or out. **update. I had to physically go in to be helped. Nice gentlemen at the counter had to call 4 different people that were not in office to get my account unlocked and refused my onetime request for a late fee wave. They told me they notified me months in advance that my card was expiring…which is not true. They didn’t even tell me I was late…I asked them because I noticed the over draft never came out. They were atleast kind enough to Help me Cancel and resell me to Ken Shannon on the north west side. Even the employee at the desk was wondering why we had to jump Through hoops to get anything done. Never make this your home gym!!
The West Y is my favorite YMCA to work out at because it is smaller than the others. Feels a little more "down to earth" like Average Joe's Gym. The staff is friendly and they do a great job keeping it clean. I see them spray to disinfectant the shower areas and steam room nightly when I am there, and not every gym does that.
I have visited a few óf the other YMCA sites in town but really enjoy this location the most. The staff are all very nice and friendly. Jeff assisted me in obtaining my membership and it went very quickly. I especially enjoy the family pool as they keep it at a good, warm temperature which I appreciate as a senior swimmer. I often do strength training also and always find enough machines available for my use. The facility is always kept clean, too. I told my sons about this site and they both now have family memberships. Highly recommend this site.
I used to really enjoy playing here, especially when Coach Dan was around. He was knowledgeable, encouraging, and made learning fun. Unfortunately, since the coaching change, the experience hasn’t been the same. The new coach, Debbie, seems less organized and not as professional during sessions. I hope management considers improving coaching quality again, because this club has great potential.
This is my parent's YMCA and we are there on a fairly regular basis. We are always welcomed with friendly smiles and the workers there are very helpful. My kids enjoy the pool, we enjoy volleyball and pickleball and basketball. It looks like they also have a great workout area with lots of free weights and machines. My parents are there at least 5 times a week and they absolutely love it!
