West River Center is a United Methodist camp on the West River, operated by the church since 1951, offering both one-week residential (overnight) camps for campers entering grades 2-12 and day camps for children in grades 1-12. Programs are grouped by grade level, and a counselor-in-training program is available for campers 16 and older. It provides a traditional Christian camp experience in a waterfront setting.

Powered by GoogleAmazing! Amazing! My son attended this year. He grew spiritually! He enjoyed all the amazing activities. His confidence increased! I highly recommend this camp! By the way, I attended West River Camp 35 years ago.
I've been a camper here, a staff member, and most recently a volunteer. It is a great camp with truly scenic views. The staff and volunteers are always welcoming of everyone and super friendly. Yes, it is a church camp but they aren't pushy about it. There is so much fun to be had here from games, swimming, nature hikes, campfires, and waterfront activities. Definitely recommend!
It isn't summer without camp. West River Center is a place where children and youth (and adults) can feel accepted and loved. With that foundation they can try new things, meet new people and have FUN!
I've participated at West River for over 20 years - as a parent, as a camp counselor, and as an adult camper. I've watched the camp grow over time, and you'll just never find a more beautiful site on the water! And the staff are amazing...everyone from directors to kitchen staff to administrators to counselors love their work, and it shows. West River Center is truly a special place.
I volunteered at West River Center for the first time in a number of years and I'm so glad to be back! The camp as a whole is top notch. The new dining facility is amazing and the chef prepared what I would consider restaurant quality food. The children at camp were as happy as could be. They were all so polite, friendly and engaged in their activities. The councilors and staff genuinely enjoy what they do... You could see it on their faces. There are many activities and programs to choose from for the kids, so I don't believe anyone could be bored during camp at West River Center! I can't wait until next year!
