Powered by GoogleLove this spot. Affordable rooftop Olympic pool and they have all gender single stall bathrooms with showers. It’s great!
Beautiful rooftop pool 25 yards long by 25m across. Lovely to swim in great weather or not. Booking system is quite complex - Wednesday at 9 pm for non-residents for the following week. You then have to go there to pay and then go somewhere else to register that you’ve paid. It’s fine once you’ve figured it all out and everyone is kind and helpful. The water is incredibly warm all year round. Perfectly clean.
I drove all the way from Los Feliz to try this pool since the Hollywood Pool is closed😕, and I was really looking forward to checking it out. Unfortunately, my experience at the front desk completely killed the excitement. The woman at the counter was rude from the start — before I could even get a full sentence out, she yelled through the glass, “I can’t hear you, speak up.” I spoke louder and explained that I didn’t have a reservation and wanted to lap swim. Online I thought I saw that it was $3, so that’s what I brought in cash. She told me it was $7.50 because I’m not a West Hollywood resident. I genuinely don’t understand why it costs nearly double for non WeHo - residents to use a public pool, but I had already paid to park, so I agreed to pay it. When I said I only had Apple Pay, she scoffed at me for not having a card. She kept asking why I brought only $3 like I intentionally was trying to not pay the full amount, that was not my intention. At that point I felt unwelcome and like I was inconveniencing her just by asking basic questions, so I left without swimming. This was my first time here, and a little patience or kindness would have gone a long way. Even a simple explanation of the rules or a friendlier tone would have made a huge difference. I really hope the customer service improves because the facility itself looked promising.
water temp is usually perfect. clean showers and locker rooms.
I had an outstanding experience at the West Hollywood Aquatics & Recreation Center! The pristine cleanliness of the water truly impressed me, ensuring a refreshing and enjoyable swim. The best part was the limited crowd, creating a peaceful and relaxing environment. I loved the reservation system for swimming, which allowed me to plan my visit with ease. This center is undoubtedly a gem for those seeking a serene and hygienic aquatic haven. Five stars without a doubt!
