My kids attend private swimming lessons here, and I have no complaints about the swimming instructor or coach. The coach is patient, professional, and very good with children. The lessons themselves are great and my kids are learning well. However, the facility, especially the girls’ locker room and bathrooms, really needs improvement. The showers are extremely outdated and difficult for young kids (6–7 years old girls) to use. Out of several showers, usually only one works properly for even a minute. The rest require constant pressing to keep the water running, which is very inconvenient for children. There are also no drying machines for swimsuits or clothes, and no plastic/polythene bags provided for wet clothes. The bathrooms and shower areas do not feel modern or well-maintained. The instructors deserve high marks, but the facility itself needs significant upgrades, especially in the girls’ bathroom and changing area.

My son recently moved to the Salmon level at West Coast Aquatics, and today was only his second class at this new stage. The group has started learning the breaststroke, and since this is a brand-new skill for him, he’s still very much at the beginner level compared to some of the other kids. I really want to appreciate the incredible support from the instructors, Prabh and Olivia. They gave my son some extra attention—patiently helping him learn the correct technique while keeping him motivated and reassured throughout the class. It meant a lot to see instructors who not only focus on skill-building but also on keeping kids motivated and positive. A big shout-out to the entire team at West Coast Aquatics for creating such a supportive and fun learning environment.

I had my 10 year old do swim lessons for 6 months. The facility is decent with long swim lanes and shower / locker rooms. However, the staff failed him in all 3 of his evaluations. In 2 of his evaluations he checked all the aspects of his level except one, but still staff failed him. There has been multiple reviews from others on their staffs biased evaluations. Where on earth are kids failed after scoring 90%? If just one specific style of swim isn’t up to the mark, it’s common sense to continue to next level while being asked to focus on that style. Interestingly, if kids are failing they don’t take action on their swim instructors. There are even reviews from others on their kids being asked to stay at same level for a year. That’s ridiculous. If you can’t progress someone to the next level for a year, it’s ALSO YOUR FAILURE. I am done with this place and will look to train my family somewhere better.

Our family has been swimming with West for 5 years. Recently I am very disappointed with their teaching. The inconsistent instructors don't focus on my kids' problems. My son has been having the same problem for a year. They held my kid on the same level for a year without any progress! The instructor don't help at all. We gave our feedback, but they responded that they have "higher standard" than other clubs. Well if your standard is so high, then your teaching doesn't match your so called "high standard".
