Valley Dance Theatre in downtown Livermore is a Tri-Valley ballet company whose school runs summer programs beginning in June for boys and girls ages 2.5-12. Year-round training feeds a spring showcase and auditions for children's roles in the company's annual Nutcracker.

★★★★★Izzy KuntzI recently moved away, but I danced at VDT for 7 1/2 years, and loved every minute. VDT's teachers know what their doing and are very supportive of their students. The ballet training is purely classical, and is taught carefully to prevent injury. If you want to go to a serious dance school, this is the place for you. VDT is a supportive, no competition environment, where everyone has each others backs. I was also lucky enough to be able to do the Nutcracker with VDT every year, which I highly recommend. Getting to dance my heart out every December at Nutcracker with my family and friends was always the highlight of each winter. VDT is like one big family, united by their passion for dance, and I'm so glad that I was lucky enough to be a part of it.

A dance class in the Friday evening after a hectic week is definitely a good relaxation. But I found little difficulty finding the board as it was at the back side of some other training room in that complex and you have a way from the side.
