Unfortunately, our experience with this soccer program was very disappointing. From the start, the organization was extremely poor. We were required to purchase the full uniform and additional items, including the jersey, black socks, extra socks, a backpack, a jacket, and sweatpants. Despite complying with all requirements and making this financial commitment, my son was never included on the official roster to play. This situation was unfair and humiliating for my child. Practices were disorganized, there was never a designated goalkeeper, and there was very little motivation or encouragement for the kids. The sessions lacked structure and did not reflect a program focused on player development or love for the sport. Overall, the program felt more like a business than a youth soccer experience that truly prioritizes the children and their development. I hope this feedback helps other families make informed decisions and encourages the program to improve.

The recreation program at UFA Norcross is the only one I have ever recommended to others because of the leadership from the director, Tara Parrington and the other parents we’ve gotten to know and love. Everyone, in the many years we have been apart of this program, cares about all the kids and wanting them to have fun while learning the competitive side of soccer. I’ve coached for almost every season my daughter has placed and have seen both sides of the league. Tara Parrington has been the main reason we’ve stayed at UFA. Her love for the game, the KIDS, professionalism and compassion is what makes this program so special. I can say honestly, if she were to ever leave, many of the families and kids would follow. I know I would. She makes the program what it is. A fun, safe environment. The kids have a blast, parents are all welcoming and great friendships are made. I’ve seen this program grow and we couldn’t be more grateful for Tara and all she’s done to encourage our daughter and the other kids to find the love of the sport.

The Rec soccer league has an opportunity to be great, once it becomes fair. Each season the 4 teams are extremely unequal, making games unfair and demoralizing. The commissioner is well organized, and cares deeply about sportsmanship, and the park is nice; however it becomes hurtful for the children on the less experienced team and impossible to grow our squad because the other three coaches easily recruit the couple experienced players we might get over to their team or they quit the league after those players get frustrated with being clobbered every game on our team. My son has played 4-5 seasons and he won’t switch teams bc his Dads coach him, but in 5 seasons he’s never won a game, not even had a close match; a testament to how unequal the teams are. After two years of losing by large margins with parents ringing noise-makers for goals made in a 10-0 game, my son cries on the way home every weekend because he’s demoralized and finding it difficult to progress. There is one coach in the league with two teams and many experienced players request him bc they don’t want to play on the “losing” team. Due to the imbalance between the teams we cannot build a competitive squad or keep a team together. It isn’t fun to get crushed all season by the same coaches who now have recruited enough players to field two teams in one case, when we can barely get 6-7 players to show up to our games. What’s worse is if we don’t have enough players, the other coaches lend us their weakest players so their experienced players get more time and beat us by even larger margins. To make things fair so players can progress and have fun, there needs to be a draft or teams randomly selected. This would also draw more participation to the league. Our players end every season frustrated making it difficult to motivate the experienced players to show up to games or come back to play with us for another season. Shout out to Tara for all her hard work and heart. She cares about the players and intervenes when she sees poor sportsmanship. She is the reason we’ve stayed.

Grading soccer program not the physical park: F Coach is rude and shows a lot of favoritism towards some while blatantly demoralizing others. Coaches don't last long in this club for many reasons. Club leadership is always non responsive and unwilling to help. Advice to parents: Stay away from this club.
