Tutu School Tacoma
Private
Tutu Camp is a week-long ballet camp where children take ballet classes, learn a classic ballet story such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, The Firebird or Cinderella, decorate costumes, and put on a production of their own. Ages 3-4 attend a half-day session (9am-12pm); ages 5-8 can choose the half-day or a full-day 9am-2pm session. No prior dance experience is required, and camp runs one themed week at a time at the Tacoma studio on S Mildred Street.

We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Tutu School Tacoma directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleI disenrolled my child from this school a year ago after realizing that this is not what I expected. It is a lovely school. We went here a few times. It is very cute for the intention of fun, but it is definitely not the place to put your child if you want them to grow in a serious ballet environment. As stated, it is all play. Which is FANTASTIC if you just want your child to play ballerina instead of giving them the proper training to become one. I'm not trying to sound harsh, just realistic. After reading all the reviews, I noticed that all of the instructors were delightful and caring. Oh, how I wish....The teacher we mainly had was Nina. She was VERY unwelcoming the first time and did not care to know my child nor myself. There was no guidance on where to store items or anything. She completely ignored us and answered me harshly when I asked her where I could store our shoes. And even though the studio is small, a nice little tour would've felt welcoming at least? It seemed we were just "another body" in the class. She seemed very over her job. Very unkempt in manner, attitude, and appearance. It truly threw off the whole environment of the ballet school. I gave her another chance and thought maybe she was having a rough day? Wrong. She is just terrible and not suitable to be training kids. If you want your kid to be trained in the seriousness of ballet, I would go to another studio. If for fun, I would take them here. I would be a little cautious with pairing them with Nina.
My toddler loves going here every week. Her confidence has skyrocketed, but also Teacher Aubrey does amazing by keeping everyone engaged and always showing new activities. Her passion, patience, and kindness makes class fun!
Tutu School has become our daughter’s highlight of the week and we adore her teacher, Miss Nina! She’s absolutely in love with learning to dance and getting interaction with other little girls her age. Miss Nina is so good with keeping her classes fun and the kids interested and being focused, as much as possible for toddlers. Our daughter comes home and practices all week and even makes us do our own little “goodbye circle” at home. The studio is beautiful and perfexton fit for a princess, highly recommend! Thank you for the magic 🪄 🩰
We love Tutu School and Ms. Heather! My daughter has learned great ballet skills and built confidence since joining late summer! Ms. Heather is amazing with the class. Patient, joyful, and so kind! Thank you for all you do to make this experience so magical for Presley!
She's a wonderful teacher with a welcoming smile every class when my daughter arrives. She's kind, dedicated, and uses teaching techniques that strengthen my daughter's learning. The best part was when my daughter had her birthday, she made her feel very special with a photo of them together.
