T's Academy (Athletic Training Center)
Private
T's Academy in Lombard, Illinois was bought by Sean and Maggie Bieterman in 2022 and renamed Stolen Bases Academy in winter 2024, so the listed name and website are out of date. It is a 10,000-square-foot indoor baseball and softball training facility at 600 E Western Ave with seven batting tunnels and five pitching mounds, offering individual, group and team instruction plus cage rentals, and it houses the Northern Illinois Stampede travel baseball program. The facility opens weekday afternoons from 4:00pm to 9:00pm, and its Camps menu links out to a partner program, U.S. Baseball Academy, rather than an in-house day camp.
The practical details

Powered by GoogleAs a parent of a travel baseball player; we are consistently looking for a place where both the player and parent feels comfortable and that's what you get with T's Academy. The facility itself is kept ultra-clean and the equipment is constantly updated to ensure those that use the facility are safe. This facility has so much to offer from specialized weight training sessions by Ben to Little kickers soccer and of course softball and baseball just to name a few. As far as coaches go, it all starts with Ryan Curry and his hand-picked coaches which over the past three years has seen some tremendous growth. Each coach uses cutting edge training techniques to ensure the player is seeing what they will see at the next level and beyond. Whether you’re there for a team practice or taking part in an individual lesson the cost is extremely affordable and they will do what they can to accommodate those that just show up in season or out. Last but not least, even if your child doesn't play baseball, they do a lot of other sports available at this facility and the parents can get involved as well as there are several nights where the Mom's take over the facility to do their work out routines. They also offer sports camps, individual lessons and vision training all at very respectable levels. I highly recommend this facility to anyone especially those looking for the son or daughter to play sports after the High School level.
The facility is very organized and well run. The programs are teaching young men and women about how sports are more than just a game. The kids are learning about the amount of hard work that it takes to really improve and to become great at something. The staff is very knowledgeable and experienced and truly care about the well being of all of kids in their program along with seeing them improve as an athlete. Highly recommend the facility and staff if your child plays baseball or softball.
We have been with T’s Family for 7 years. We have seen it grow and advance to a Top Tier travel program and training facility. They have invested in their business with equipment and professional staffed employees. Ryan Curry is a no nonsense person who is very knowledgeable and always willing to give you insight and feedback back to help you achieve your best within your skill set. T’s offer additional one on one training if you feel you want or need more attention. They may not win every tournament, but it’s not from trying or putting in the work needed. Your kids will learn more than baseball or softball, they are taught sportsmanship and how to conduct themselves as respectable and reasonable citizens. Most programs are judged by how many trophies are sitting in the facility, but I like to judge it by how my son has progressed and how he is being instructed and taught. I have never been disappointed by T’s Academy in that aspect. They will always be our Family and where my son spent most of his years learning the Great game of baseball. Thank you Ryan, Tony, countless Coaches and staff.
After cycling through 2 different travel baseball organizations and clubhouses, I am extremely impressed by the milieu of T's Academy as well as the welcoming atmosphere of the Pirates. Baseball (probably softball too, but I have boys) is obviously the focus and each time I have been there the facilitators have everything well organized and run in a timely manner. The players are focused, engaged and are still having fun. T's offers many skill enhancing programs of which my children have definitely benefited from. T's Academy and the Pirates are professionally run without the travel baseball team "factory" feel. The facility is clean with a pleasant waiting area and nice clean bathroom.
If your child is in house player looking to reach the next level of baseball. Then T's Academy is a great place to see your child get better and grow as an athlete. Your child will learn fundamentals of the game and be taught how to become an athlete all year around. If your child is looking to make there high school team. They will provide the proper skills they need to be a complete baseball player. Since Mr. Curry has taken over, its been very positive and always improving. It starts at the root.
