Weekly nature themes bring hands-on hiking, canoeing, archery, kayaking, biking, and crafts at sites including the Campbell Creek Science Center, Russian Jack Chalet, and Spring Creek Farm in Palmer, with older campers taking backpacking and overnight trips.

★★★Kristi BrownTrailside does a fantastic job for the 8-10 age range at their camps. My son has loved going and loves the topics and themes. He's engaged, and interested. Unfortunately, they really drop the ball on the 10-14 age range, particularly for the Beach Lake location. My daughter has been disappointed each week. I don't understand, this age range could do so much more and I'm not sure why the plans are so lacking. I fear this won't be a viable option going forward as both kids would fall into the older age group.
