Powered by GoogleHad a FANTASTIC time at North Star Bible Camp as they hosted a church youth retreat. Their facilities are GREAT and well maintained! I was there in February, but I can't imagine how great it would be in the summer with lake access. Food was pretty good considering they were feeding over 50 each meal. Staff were super kind and helpful!
Beautiful location for a retreat. Cabins have in suite bathrooms, which is nice. Accomodations are still that of a camp. Several nice places to have smaller groups gather and hang out. About an hour past Wasilla. The road out is good until about the last 5-10 miles, and then it is a little rough and can be icy at times. Watch out for the earthquake bump in the road.
Beautiful space, friendly and efficient staff, we were fed quite well. Easy to get to but still off the beaten path. The lake is amazing, and it's nice to have the paddle boats and the diving trampoline. Perfect retreat spot!
I went for a quilting retreat with the ALCQ. It was a serene setting. The food was excellent. My husband says I'm a picky eater (what does he know?), but there wasn't a single meal I didn't enjoy. The staff were curteous, helpful, friendly, and unobtrusive.
I love this camp. I was a guest speaker at a church youth camp. Being from Illinois it was great to see all the opportunities to retreat “Alaska Style,” The staff did s great job of taking care of details. Would love to go back sometime and not have to teach but just enjoy the place!
