Christian overnight camp and retreat centre on a 160-acre property in Chugiak, about 30 minutes north of Anchorage, owned by the Alaska United Methodist Conference and in operation since 1961. Summer sessions serve campers entering kindergarten through 12th grade and include a week-long day camp, outdoor Woodlanders sessions, a music/art/drama/dance camp, a wilderness Adventure Camp for high schoolers and a family camp; the site has a lake, log cabins, hiking trails and a low-ropes challenge course. Registration fees run $300 to $630 depending on session, with a 10% early-bird discount, a bring-a-friend discount and scholarships applied for through the CampMinder registration.

I always go in with low expectations and prepared with backup snacks, but those weren't necessary this weekend at all. 😍 Not only were staff trained to change gloves and utensils, the different meals were amazingly delicious.
