Coach Eamon is patient, thoughtful, and indulgent when it comes to letting them explore their interests (anyone wanna make more Pokemon games?) This is my 10-year-old son’s absolute favorite place to learn coding. He has attended weekly for 3 years, in-person and remotely, equally great experiences! He gets to choose his own projects, so he can be creative. A highly knowledgeable teacher guides him along the way to making his visions reality and then helps him choose a project at the next level. In his semi-private sessions, he has created many fun and exciting projects from video games to animations and digital art. He loves his longtime teacher, Eamon, for his kindness and spirit of fun, as well as for his excellent knowledge of coding. Eamon has even developed a special curriculum upon request that allows my son to combine learning two different coding languages at different levels in one class in a way that feels integrated and lots of fun. The weekly email reports Eamon sends to parents are detailed and very helpful for keeping track of a child's learning progress. Communication with the owner, Dede, is always easy, helpful, and lovely. She is a great resource for advice about many topics related to my son’s education and we have benefited from her insights multiple times. When my son has wanted to code with a friend, or has had a schedule change, these requests have always been graciously accommodated. It is obvious that everyone at coder school cares about our family and our son’s education. We highly recommend coder school to anyone who wants to know the joy of coding.

My children have been taking coding lessons and joining in summer camps at the Coder School in San Ramon for several years. The coaches are engaging, creative, and very knowledgeable about what they teach. As my children advance in skills they are paired with similar peers, and the coaches move them along together doing enjoyable activities. My children look forward to their weekly lessons. Meeting with our coaches virtually during this pandemic has been super easy from home. We have enjoyed working with all of our coaches, and they have many ways to make the learning fun. We highly recommend the Coder School!

My kids love Coder school! They’ve been going for 6 months and are excited to keep learning more. The code coaches are great and send a weekly update so I know what each kid is learning. My kids are so comfortable there and enjoy everything about the experience. The owner DeDe is friendly and organized and makes everyone feel welcome. They have group classes, individual coaching, and my 12 year old really likes the 2 students with 1 coach ratio. There’s something for everyone!
