theCoderSchool is a national coding-school franchise, founded in Silicon Valley in 2014 and now over 70 locations, that teaches kids ages 7 to 18 to code in Python, Scratch, JavaScript and more through private and low-ratio classes. Its Cupertino location is at 10057 Saich Way, Cupertino. Summer camps run five days with three hours of instruction a day, offered as a morning or an afternoon block and taught in person at the school. Camp themes span video game development, robotics, Minecraft, Roblox, JavaScript with HTML/CSS and mobile game development, with roughly six campers per instructor and camps usually taught by the school's year-round Code Coaches.

Powered by GoogleMy son has attended the CoderSchool for more than 6 years. He started with semi-private face-to-face lessons in Cupertino location. After we moved, we were able to continue with the school in zoom format. Both formats worked great for us. All instructors my son interacted with were knowledgeable and fun. We never had any technical problems, my son always enjoyed the lessons. He started with Scratch , then over to Python and C#. John Ekins, the school manager, was always able to accommodate us if we had a change in schedule. One of the most valuable aspects for us is that the school keeps a detailed track of your child's progress online and a coach gives written remarks after each session on what was accomplished. Thank you, CoderSchool!
My son is attending the CoderSchool for almost 6 months and love it! He is looking forward this his class and so happy that he is learning so much! This is an amazing opportunity to explore coding and to let your kids experience this entire world of technology. I am highly recommended this school.
We were looking for a coding class (Python) for our middle schooler. As it can be done online, we had plenty of options and location is no longer a problem. Our friend highly recommended this school, so we scheduled a trial session and was impressed. The school coordinator (Aurora) is very friendly, reasonable, and understanding of what we need. For the class, my kid really likes freedom of projects and it's fun to try and learn from his own mistake (instead of listening to 'how to'). The teaching method and his coach (Vibhu) work very well to help him understand the concept rather than memorizing it. At the end of every class, I will receive a summary of topics completed and areas that my kid did well or need to work on more, which I look forward to reading every time. We are very happy and highly recommend this school!
It took my 8-year old daughter some time to get used to the whole zoom-based coding class after covid situation, but she eventually picked up the class structure and got the flow. The class instructor seems to rotate all the time rather than having a single instructor (some are better than others), other than that, the class has only a few students and more like private lesson. So far so good, and their response to parent feedback has been very quick. My daughter is now doing the coding by herself for fun on off days, so we will continue with theCoderSchool for the foreseeable future. Really hoping to have in-person class soon...
My son who is 13 start with Coder School in December 2019. It was a great experience so far. The director and staff are super friendly. My son enjoys a lot with program with 2:1 so far. What I love about is that the coach keeps you updated on what they work on per week and system email reminder of next class. There are days you just lost track of time which I found its helpful to remind. Love it!!!
