The Skills Center
Private
Multi-sport summer camps run by The Skills Center, a Tampa 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2007 that uses sports to drive academic and leadership development. Camps are offered as multi-day and multi-week sessions for ages 6 to 15 of all skill levels; a camp day includes warm-up drills, stretching, skill-development training and games such as King of the Court and 3v3. The nonprofit also runs leagues, travel teams, clinics and training across baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis and volleyball from its site at 5107 N 22nd St.

If you've never been there I recommend you check this place out. Supposedly a lot of kids go there after school a lot of activities it is an incredible spot I've seen nothing like this in my time.
I signed my 14 year old son up for a 3 day basketball camp. He loves the facility and coach Chris. We agreed that we can see long term goals being met by attending more basketball training with coach Chris. We also took a look at everything else the skills center has to offer and can see my son going for more than just basketball. Thank you skills center!
This community center offers more than sports with an academic cafe, YES girls program. And continuing expansion of programs including career exposure. The center is focused on local students and kids aged 3 to 18. Today our group rented the accessible center for a large meeting. Accessible venue. Van accessible parking. Accessible mens and women’s restrooms.
The Skills Center has been a huge blessing to our family and to Hoops on Mission. It’s more than just basketball, it’s a place safe place where kids grow spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. The travel ball program is top-tier, and the coaches truly care. They don’t just develop athletes; they invest in young leaders. We’re grateful to be connected to a program that shares our heart for purpose, faith, and community. Thank you to everyone at The Skills Center for all you do!
Wonderful gala there. Worthwhile organization helping kids learn academic, sports, and character skills for success.
