We have been long-time Next Step Dance fans, 3 years running, since we moved to Danville. We discovered them through their work with the Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area. We have 2 kids - our 8yo daughter with a disability and our 6yo son. Over the years, the instructors have been amazing (esp Jessica and Sophie) to both of our kids…especially our daughter. Because of their inclusive spirit - our kids have consistently enjoyed dance. For our daughter, especially, Next Step is a place where she both has progressed and discovered a sense of place and identity with her friends both from school and with her cheer friends (T-birds). Next Step is a part of our lives. And we are grateful to Next Step for creating a place in our kids’ big hearts for dancing!

My daughter started with NSDS as a 4th Grader on Pre-Team Company Team. She had only taken ballet up to this point. From this year she took a leap of faith and to go all in and her growth as an overall dancer practicing all styles in less than 4 years is jaw-dropping. Not only has her skill set grown but she has made her very best friends and has memories to last a lifetime. She has learned time management, resiliency, mental strength, and how to carry herself with confidence and show up on time and ready to perform in all areas of her life.
