★ChristinaI had such a disheartening experience that mirrors that of a previous, recent review. I enrolled my family (Family of 5) at the John McClure Snook YMCA in Foley upon moving the area in Summer 2025. I have never visited the YMCA since obtaining my membership in October 2025. On Monday, 02 March 2026, I was SO Excited to make my first visit and showed up for the 0930 Strength Training class at 0920. The front staff was great. They showed me to the location of the class and asked that someone show me how to prepare for the session. I placed my small backpack and phone down in the back of the room near the rear center window as I grabbed the necessary weights and equipment. Upon returning to my belongings, my phone was not where I placed it. To be sure I did not leave it in the equipment room or placed back in my bag, l searched both areas before running to my car and check (that I'm not going crazy). I returned and placed my keys back in the small pocket of my bag and checked with the front desk again. I returned to my bag where I was asked by members if I found it. When I said no, one suggested that I check my bag again. Well, my Phone was ON TOP of the keys that I had placed back in there after checking my car. So, a member STOLE my phone and returned it...Maybe in fear that I was going to call it (as one person suggested). When I let management know, they were sorry and said they knew who did it (and they do this stuff all the time). I'm not sure why they would allow thieves into their facility if they are known to have a pattern of stealing. With that being said, that was my first and last visit to the YMCA. I cancelled my membership, disinfected my phone and went back to working out on my own where I know I wont be taken advantage of.

★★★★★Andrea LeeThe remodel looks amazing!!! The facility is always clean. The staff is Always cleaning something. The staff are very professional, helpful, and polite. I like seeing their smiling faces. They try to get to know names of the members which I really appreciate. The classes are starting to build up again. I can't wait to see what other classes are offered in the future. The Flow Yoga with Mr. Bob is my favorite class to go to. All of the classes are for every level from beginner to advanced. So don't be shy to start!!! The members are amazing at helping you out!! My daughter loves the Kids Night Ins. They are held once a month on a Friday night from 6-10 p.m. It actually gives us parents time for a date night or self care night. They get to swim, play games, do crafts, eat pizza, and have movie and popcorn. Love it!!!!
