Play Pensacola is the City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department, running 93 parks and 10 resource centers, and its summer day camps serve ages 5-12 at the Cobb, Fricker, Gull Point and Woodland Heights centers. Camp runs Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., from May 31 through August 9, at weekly rates of $54-$119 depending on location and city residency, and a scholarship application is offered. The department also runs specialty camps: a half-day Adventure Day Camp at East Pensacola Heights Clubhouse (9 a.m.-noon, $150/week), Challenger Sports soccer camp for ages 3-14, the 42nd annual Chip Boes basketball camp at $105/week, and a girls volleyball camp for ages 9-14.
