The Discovery School Day Camp is a full-day summer camp on The Discovery School's 7-acre nature campus in Allison Park, with wooded trails, a natural pond and a nature playground. The youngest campers, who must be potty trained, start at age 3 in Playful Pollinators, a child care program licensed through the Department of Human Services with groups of 12 at a 6:1 camper-to-staff ratio, sensory exploration, creative arts, music and movement, nature adventures and a midday rest. School-age campers join Woodland Wonders in groups of 16 at an 8:1 ratio and rotate each day through six discovery stations, including kayaking at the Wishing Pond, building with branches and twigs in Stick Village, drama and music in the Whimsical Woods, team games and a maker space. Weekly sessions run 8:45am to 4pm with free before care from 8am, snack and lunch are included, and partial scholarships are offered to families in need.
