Crestfield is a Christ-centred camp and conference centre in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, founded in 1948, offering both day camp and overnight resident weeks for elementary and middle school children. Its published camp program mixes archery, canoeing, pool swimming, ropes courses, a ninja wall, crafts and wide games with a daily Bible Time led by an on-site chaplain, and day camp weeks include a hot lunch. Day camp has run for completed grades 1-8 from 8:30 to 4:30, with shorter holiday-week options open to grades K-8, overnight weeks for completed grades 3-8 and a service adventure week for older youth. ★★★Dave CooperOur group (approx 100 people) stayed at the conference center Memorial Day weekend 2025. The conference facility was fine. If you are considering renting this center, please have a good talk with the managers about the types of food that your group will find acceptable; what our group got was very low grade industrial Sysco stuff that was so bad I could not believe that anyone would serve it to guests. Sunday night we got a big bowl of corn chips, a tray of crumbled meat topping, a bowl of shredded cheese, salsa, jalapenos and some sour cream. That was our dinner. I just stared in disgust at my food. "Popcorn chicken" corn and mashed potatoes was Saturday night dinner. The "Baked Ziti" was made with very low grade meat sauce, it was terrible. Breakfast was microwave pancakes or French toast sticks and syrup plus meat. I felt insulted that someone would serve me such good and I am not a picky eater at all. Unacceptable
★★★★Brianne LedbetterThe facility was used by our Women's Business Network group for a weekend retreat. The rooms are clean and up to date. The staff was very friendly and there was plenty of coffee, tea and water availability during and in between sessions and there were refrigerators for storing our own food. The space for the workshops was spacious. The grounds were peaceful, especially the courtyard with the water fountain. My only negative (which is why I could not give it 5 stars) was that the temperature was not able to be controlled within the individual sleeping rooms. There were instances in which it was too cold in the room and then others when it was too warm.

It was inspiring to be in a space that brought together groups from different communities and backgrounds. The staff was always accessible and ready to help, making the experience even more seamless. We highly recommend Crestfield Camp and Conference Center for your next retreat, event, or camp experience. A hidden gem just outside Pittsburgh—10/10 would recommend!
